If Georgia wants to "join NATO" and rub it in the face of the Russians, I'm not surprised at the reaction of the Russians.

I don't believe that this has much to do with the status of the ethnic Russians in Georgia. After all, the Russians are not invading Latvia or Estonia, which have similar issues with large communities of ethnic Russians.

I'm not defending either side, but the Georgians need to remember who they are and where they are and act with more discretion.

Remember what happened here in the US about 1962? The Cuban Missile Crisis. Same thing. It doesn't sit well with the other side.
